Boozhoo!

We care about your health and safety and the health of IPTF staff. As we continue to respond to the Coronavirus and it’s impact on our community we are modifying most of our programs:

HIV/HepC Testing

Currently, we are suspending our HIV/HepC testing per directive of the Minnesota Health Department. Thanks to a donation of face masks, we anticipate being able to resume testing with oral swabs as soon as the testing kits arrive.

Syringe Exchange

We will continue to provide Syringe Exchange and supplies but are reducing our hours to Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, between the hours of 1-4. Please text text 651-808-3965 before arriving so we know how to prepackage your supplies. Click this link for the calendar of other community agencies providing Harm Reduction supplies.

Keep the Fire Alive Program

Our youth programs are meeting in smaller sessions online and it is going well. If you would like to get connected to this program contact Brenna at (612) 722-5670.

Waybinagay – Smoking Prevention and Cessation

A new group will begin the Waybinagay program next week in an online format. To join contact Suzanne Nash at (612) 205-5472.

Distributing Resources to Keep our Community Safe

We are grateful to a local distillery that donated three gallons of hand sanitizer to us. When our small bottles arrive we will distribute them to our residents, our youth and syringe and Narcan users. Any donations of masks that we receive will also be shared with the community as we are able.

Case Management

The team of case managers at Indigenous Peoples Task Force are continuing to work remotely and address issues around medical access, non-medical benefits, and housing, particularly for people with HIV and syringe users. How can we help you?

We will be in touch again as we continue to adapt to the needs of our community.
